Problem
"The southern Africa region supports a significant proportion of the world's biodiversity. Many of these species are also endemic to the region and thus represent a real risk of extinction for the species".
Identify an area or unique habitat which has a high biodiversity index and is at risk of destruction as a result of anthropogenic activities. Describe why you have chosen this area or unique habitat. What values does this area or habitat have (direct and indirect)? Elaborate on the major threats and describe possible solutions for these threats. This area should be restricted to South Africa, and should exclude a proclaimed conservation area). Typical examples would include Cape fynbos (but could also be a sub-region of the fynbos).
