Problem
Dr. Hansen has admitted he is worried about the negative attitude he is beginning to have toward these students. His best professional approach to address this concern is to:
i. Ignore his concerns and focus all of his attention on motivating these students' appropriate behavior while disciplining them when they are inappropriate.
ii. Identify and develop a collaborative/consultative partnership with a school, district, or community behavioral expert who works with teachers experiencing significant classroom management issues.
iii. Work with the school counselor who will involve these students' parents-providing them with performance feedback and behavioral change strategies.
iv. Take three days of professional leave so that he can re-establish his professional objectivity and take a fresh look at the students and their appropriate and inappropriate behavioral patterns.
