Using your own organisation (or one with which you are familiar), investigate and report on the reward environment and the key external and internal factors that inform reward strategy and decision making.
In your answer you should make reference to academic research and literature and to organisation practice.
To address this brief you will need to:
1. identify and analyse the key environmental changes that impact on reward in the organisation and the business context that drives reward strategy. In doing this be sure to include external factors
2. identify and evaluate the reliability of five different sources of reward intelligence and provide examples of how these sources are used
3. evaluate factors within an organisation that inform reward decisions and discuss the importance of internal and external equity in rewards to the organisation
4. give an example of a conflict that has arisen in relation to reward in an organisation, and evaluate whether the reward decisions that had been made led to the conflict arising.
