PSYCHOLOGY ASSIGNMENT
Here are a few of those guidelines:
• Anything "borrowed" from your textbook or other source must be paraphrased (in your own words) - direct quotes /verbatim information are never permitted from any source on any assessment in this course.
• All borrowed material from all sources (including the textbook) must be properly cited and referenced {APA citation only). Don't "stress" - APA is a lot like MLA. All outside sources must be college level (scholarly).
Answer the following in a complete essay:
• Pretend that a fictional character (such as from a movie or TV show) has a major psychological disorder. You are a psychiatrist or other psychological provider. What is the diagnosis for your patient and why?
• Which specific type of therapies would you recommend for your "client" and why? (Select two.)
• Identify an advantage and a disadvantage for each of the therapies you would choose.
• Make key terms in bold font.
Note: When choosing the disorders and therapies, you will need to be specific. For example, it is not enough to say you would choose psychotherapy or insight therapy, you must specify which type of therapy (for example: psychodynamic). Make sure you discuss different types of treatment (for instance, students may not discuss two biomedical therapies).
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
