Analysis: Public Relations and Credibility
Identify a recent situation where the credibility of an organization was brought into question. For example, you may select a news organization whose accuracy is being questioned on major issues, a company accused of making false claims in advertising, or a company covering up a major manufacturing problem. In a 4 page (minimum) essay:
- Provide an overview of the situation
- Analyze the use of PR associated with the credibility. What strategies were used? Was a successful outcome reached? Was the organization able to recover from the situation without a significant decline in public image?
- Based on this situation, develop a plan specific to the organization that is meant to anticipate and respond to similar situations related to credibility
Your essay should be at least 4 pages in length, not including title or reference pages. Include at least 4 academic references and follow APA format.
