1) I believe that keeping updated is important in avoiding fallacies, but let me ask this: Do you think that mass media and virtual communications helps or hinders our ability to determine fallacies? Why or why not?
2) Many times we will see statements like "Statistics show that..." or "Research proves..." in media articles that we read and hear. But what makes a statistic believable? What questions should you ask yourself when you hear a statistic? How might statistics be perceived in an argument? Do you plan on using any statistics in your paper?
