Introduction
Health promotion has the capacity to make real differences to the lives of individuals, communities and the natural environment, as well as contribute to health equity.
There are many challenges for the 21st century which impact on health: climate change, increasing urbanisation, globalization, digital communication, technological innovations, increasing gradient between rich and poor and many more. In this second assessment task you will assess ONE health promotion intervention/program/action for its capacity to meet the challenges of the 21st century for people and planet.
The aim of the assessment task is to assess your health promotion intervention against the sections in the AT2 Outline which itemises the challenges for the 21st century. It is NOT to assess how well the health promotion interventions have met their stated objectives.
Health Promotion Interventions for the 21st century Health Promotion Options-
1. Substance misuse (alcohol and tobacco) and young adults.
Interventions:
a. BackTrack - rural bush residential program
b. Hello Sunday Morning - online awareness, culture change and motivational campaign
