Unit outcomes addressed in this Assignment: • Assess Database Architecture and Design. • Assess Clinical, business, and specialty systems applications (administrative, clinical decision support systems, electronic health record and computer-based health record systems, nursing, ancillary service systems, patient numbering systems at master and enterprise levels).
Instructions
You are the Vice President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Health and Hospital System. Your system includes 1800 bed-hospital and 30 community-based clinics throughout the metroplex. You and your interdisciplinary team (Quality Improvement, Health Information Management, Pharmacy, and Report/Analytics) are charged with the task of assessing the appropriate clinical, business, and specialty systems applications for the entire hospital system.
Provide an assessment for the following applications: administrative, clinical decision support systems, electronic health record and computer-based health record systems, nursing, ancillary service systems, patient numbering systems at master and enterprise levels.
Requirements
For each application assessment (1) select the appropriate clinical setting (inpatient and/or outpatient), (2) explain database architecture and design, and (3) decide which components of an e-health delivery system would be appropriate. Your assessments should be a minimum of 6 pages.
SECOND ASSINGMENT
Background: Based on the self-assessments you have conducted in previous units, you will now create a personalized exercise prescription for all three health-related fitness components: cardiovascular activity, muscular strength/endurance, and flexibility. You will use the FITT/PROS principles for all three components to design a comprehensive program. Instructions:
Part 1: FITT Principles
Create an exercise prescription for aerobic, muscular strength/endurance, and flexibility using the FITT principles. This prescription should be based on your current level of fitness and be appropriate for your current lifestyle. Be detailed in all areas. Your prescription should contain enough details so that someone could follow your program as written.
Part 2: PROS Principles
Based on your FITT prescription, use the PROS principles to create a longer term program that helps you meet the Guidelines or goals in each fitness area. Use the following FITT and PROS Principles template for Parts 1 and 2 of this Assignment
