Problem:
You are a human resource professional who favors strategic management, and who has been very successful in your current position. You decide you want to try something different, and accept a job at CCMD. Your first week on the job you get settled in, then realize that you are not being invited to any of the types of meetings that you used to attend. At CCMD, you are expected to run a traditional human resources management department. You know that the company will be much more successful if you are able to use strategic human resource management. You schedule a meeting with the CEO and CFO who are used to making top down autocratic decisions.
Write a list of points that you want to discuss with the CEO and CFO regarding a change in your role. You want them to involve you in strategic discussions. List at least five significant points to discuss.
