The leading cause of death in Niagara County is heart disease "Life expectancy in Niagara County is 77.6 years, with females having a slightly higher longevity than males. The leading causes of death according to Vital Statistics are heart disease" (niagaracounty.com).

Heart disease is the leading killer in the county with 730 deaths followed by cancer with 522 deaths. On average over 610000 people die in the United States from heart disease each year this is the leading cause of death of people within the United States "About 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year-that's 1 in every 4 deaths" (cdc.gov).I believe that the numbers of heart disease in America are so high because of the amount of fast food that is readily available.

Heart disease has been on an increase people do not have the diets that they use to before fast food was made so available and cheap.
