Discussion Post: Communication through Persuasion
Read the Article: "6 Techniques that Apple Uses to Influence you" by Ramzi Chamat.
Although this article is from 2015, I find it covers six great areas of persuasion. After you have read the article, select a company/organization that you feel does a GREAT job of persuading the public - DO NOT USE APPLE! Write a paragraph for each area listed below explaining how your selected company/organization handles the art of persuasion to its consumers.
• Scarcity (write a paragraph)
• Commitment & Consistency (write a paragraph)
• Reciprocity (write a paragraph)
• Authority (write a paragraph)
• Social Proof (write a paragraph)
• Liking (write a paragraph).
The response should include a reference list. One-inch margins, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
