Assignment
Using the readings and the video from this week, choose one of the six reading components (phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension and oral language). Choose a different one from which you created a tiered activity in Week 4 and:
1. Choose a skill and list the Language Arts Florida Standards associated with that skill. List the competency, skill, and Florida Standard(s).
2. Create an activity to practice the skill. Describe the activity.
3. Describe how you would differentiate the activity by learning style. You can differentiate the content, process, and/or product in addition to differentiating by learning profile. For example, you can have the students vary the mode of expressing their product, vary how the content is presented, and / or vary the process by which they learn the skill.
4. Describe how to adapt the activity for the English Language Learners in your class. Submit this assignment as a double-spaced, word- processed document at least one page in length.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
