Assume that you've gotten the job at Computron and you negotiated a generous package for yourself. You arrive for your first day of work and the HR department notes that your salary is much lower than what you believed was the negotiated agreement. The contract in writing appears to show that you, indeed, accidentally signed off on this lower salary level. Please describe what you believe might be the interests, rights, and power of both you and Computron, and how you might resolve this dispute using processes or dispute resolution methods related to each. Which method do you think will be the most effective?
Question 2
Assume that during the process of resolving the dispute several other employee come to you with similar complaints about Computron. A senior manager, worried about the potential for a larger dispute involving more employees, comes to you quickly with an exploding offer (an offer that expires almost immediately) to resolved your dispute before more employees can become involved. Who do you form a coalition with (other employees or management) and why (ie, what are you looking for in a coalition partner)?
