Problem
Molly Haskell levels criticism on Hollywood films that imply that women and their problems, emotional and otherwise, are of minor significance. Looking at the short films we watched in class (Radical, A Short Film About Tegan & Sara and their music video I Know I'm Not the Only One), how might you argue that feminist filmmakers are rewriting the script of the genre 'the woman's film'? Useful prompts: positionality, women and representation, filmmaking structure and techniques.
