I. Choose three of the six styles of love from the readings and identify a media character you would say has demonstrated that style, e.g., Barney on How I met your mother is a womanizer, therefore he exemplifies the ludus style (game playing) of love. Why did you choose the character for each style? What stands out most about this style?
II. Cultures exhibit different levels of tolerance for infidelity. Look at the three common views of betrayal from across the world. Choose a culture other than your own and explain their views on infidelity and how they deal with it. Remember to research enough of the culture to avoid a simple statement of agreement or negativity. Can you tell where the culture's views on infidelity originate and why? What kinds of punishments are attached, if any? Your thoughts?
III. How would you rank-order the importance of the four factors predicting relationship survival on a scale of 1 (most important) to 4 (least important)? Explain your rankings.
