Part A
1. Interview an employee in yours or another organization and discuss how the job the employee is doing could be enriched based on the reading you have done. Make sure to discuss all aspects of the employee's work (e.g., what specific tasks are done and with whom the employee interacts on the job) and how using the models you have read can improve employee performance and morale.
2. How would you describe the organization you work for (or one you are familiar with) on each of the basic design dimensions? For example, is it a very formal organization or an informal organization? Do the size and technology affect you? How? Do you feel this is less significant when working in a human service organization than in a profit?
Part B
1. In your experience as well as based on the readings you have done, what organization development techniques are the easiest to implement? What techniques are the most difficult to implement in a human service organization? What have you seen?
2. What issues have you encountered in completing your Organizational Analysis? What have you done to overcome them? Use the concepts from our course AND at least one outside source to substantiate your answer here, be specific!
