Problem
Scenario: A teacher with many years of experience does not see the need to apply the district's mandates for teaching reading. He is reluctant to embrace the new district's protocols because the way he currently teaches has been effective and supports the way he learned to read. He views the change as a fad which he believes will disappear within a few years. He seldom calls on others for curriculum support and would rather keep to himself. He values his time and believes others should value his time too. Additional training will take more time which he does not have nor believes is necessary.
As a teacher supervisor, how would you approach this teacher?
