How would you approach changing your supply chain

Problem

Supply Chain Management has taken a significant step forward into the public eye since the start of the pandemic. At the same time, few truly understand the countless pieces that all have to be working together in order to make an order appear at your doorstep. Just to make your careers that much more complicated, most large companies are committing to a net carbon zero footprint by 2040. In other words, they're committing to using low- or zero-emission transportation sources, consuming minimal warehouse storage, and finding ways to offset any carbon production. Let's assume you join one of these companies with such a commitment by 2040. How would you approach changing your supply chain to realize your net carbon zero goals? What would you expect to be trade-offs with your current performance (for example, delivery times, in-transit visibility, product variety, etc.) and how would you best communicate these impacts to your customers?
