Review the attached book chapter about White Supremacy from Robin Diangelo's White Fragility. White supremacy is more complex than it sounds by its terminology and probably not what you think it is. Use one or more of the questions listed below as prompts. Include in your posts some concepts and vocabulary from the assigned video or document, textbook, and/or lecture slides to demonstrate your understanding of the lesson for the module.
1. Were you aware that the definition of what it means to be White was invented and has steadily evolved over the years based on legislation?
2. Do you think racism would be the same in America if the White population was fragmented by ethnicity (i.e., Italian, Irish, etc.) instead of being viewed a racial monolith through the lens of race as a social construct that can be determined by legislation?
