Problem
Times have changed. Families have changed, too. Children's literature is starting to reflect these changes. Think about the books that are currently being read in classrooms. How would you address parents on the importance of having books addressing controversial content in your classroom? You will be asked to make a letter to the parents of your students. You pick the age/grade level and content.
Include some research on the selected literature (e.g., a published article). Explain to parents why you have these books in your classroom.
