How would respond to this- I think that business process benchmarking is important, but I don't think that it is the most important type of bench marking. The importance of the benchmarking method chosen will lie within the user. For example, i believe that a CFO would mostly like to focus on financial benchmarking, engineers would likely use product benchmarking, and an operations manager would likely focus on process benchmarking. I feel that the most important type of benchmarking will be decided by the individual in coordination with their overall goal for the organization.
