Discuss the means that employees have to seek resolution while maintaining an amiable work environment.

According to the text, in the beginning, trade unions worked to increase pay and conditions of employment. However, today, trade unions and collective bargaining are in many arenas viewed with disfavor by those who believe that unions are out of step with an independent and self-reliant national character. Do unions artificially increase wages? Why, or why not?
