Benchmarking has been a concern of all types of businesses for a long time. All businesses have standards, or best practices, they follow and apply when measuring quality and performance. Global business continues to rely on benchmarking.
Based on the article, "The Future of Financial Benchmarks," and one additional source, discuss the future of benchmarking by responding to the following questions:
1. How will the Iosco Principles affect benchmarks used today?
2. Will these principles eliminate current-use benchmarks?
3. In your opinion, should benchmarking be eliminated?
4. Think about the work that you perform: what is an example of a benchmark used in your profession?
