Writing Assignment
You must provide a five page analysis of a minimum of three episodes of crime reality television of your choice ( Cops, Intervention, To Catch a Predator) The assignment is to describe what the shows convey about crime and justice, as well as your subjective experience of watching the shows, by responding to the following prompts:
- What is the basic premise of the show?
- What illicit behavior did the show depict?
- How were persons on the show depicted as experiencing pleasure?
- How were persons on the show humiliated?
- What did you learn from the show?
- What surprised you about illicit behavior?
- What behaviors did you find ‘seductive?
- What surprised you about punishmen?
