C. When and how did the Thanksgiving holiday become nationalized and modernized as a day of gratitude? Why does Wallach describe our modern vision of Thanksgiving as a "fantasy" (p10, Wallach)?
D. Describe the seven places that plant agriculture/domestication occurred simultaneously and some aspects of Native American First people agricultural systems and technological contribution. (p15, 18-21, Dunbar-Ortiz)?
E. For those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, describe a few food traditions that your family practice and why they are important to you. Are any of these food traditions link to indigenous American foods? Use the internet to research any foods from your meal that originate from the Native American First people foodways. Reflect on what you learned in these readings and briefly describe how it influences your view of your Thanksgiving celebration.
