Problem:
For this post, develop a position arguing how we should deal with the environment, from a moral perspective, considering the information presented by Baxter and Leopold. What do you make of the criterion for right action offered by each thinker? What worries or objections arise for each position? What should be our moral focus when dealing with nature (should we be ecocentric? Biocentric? Anthropocentric? Or something else)? Or perhaps elements of each are correct? Is a synthesis possible? If so, how? If not, why not? What implications will your view have on our lives and our experiences with nature? What type of lifestyle changes would we need to adopt, in your view? Is your solution practical? What kinds of roadblocks stand in the way of implementing your view?
