Health equity is a way that the system can monitor and fix the way people obtain healthcare. It is a way to look at past history and see how we can make obtaining healthcare for all in a just and fair way. This isn't just minimalistic healthcare either. It is for the highest level of healthcare that someone might need, (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 2022). In my experience we have used this health equity to make it to where all patients will be able to receive the care they need and intend to get. Whether it be to offer a discount, payment plan, or work with their insurance if applicable to lower the rate of cost. In my opinion healthcare is something that should be a given. It is not a fault of someone if they require healthcare based on accident or illness. When I seek out ways to help those who need healthcare it is to make sure that someone can afford and seek the care they need. Health equity is something that I have always stood by and will always make sure to go by regulation and policy to achieve if it is appropriate and applicable.
