Discuss the below:
I bought a poster in a Habitat for Humanity store. I would like to copy and sell it, maybe make abook about it by using the graphics.
The graphic artist had a copyright sentence from 1986. It was not registered in the Copyright Office. The artist is alive and lives in FL. I assume I need her permission to use the art commercially? I would like to get a complete copyright to use the poster graphics any way I like e.g. make a book or have a game designed.
Q: What are my options? Could you be specific how to handle this situation so it's legally fair.
