Problem 1) If you use your social media as a tool to raise awareness about a problem that our community or society is facing with, what specific problem you would be most interested in addressing and why? Based on your discussions from Week 1 and Week 2, please find a topic that interests you and your social media audience the most.
First, tell use briefly about your general impressions on your audience characteristics in one or two sentences though an audience analysis will be done separately later in the quarter. Who reacts with your posts and interact with you the most on the social media platform? Are they college students? Are they from CWU, your work, or your hometown?
Then, state the problem that you would like to work on. The problem of your pick will be used to complete the rest of the social media projects. You should consider the topic that you are passionate about, while the topic should also resonate with your audience. Make your problem statement concise and concrete. For example, college students' mental health is too broad and appears ambiguous as to what you are trying to achieve. "college students are struggling with stress and depression, which in turn negatively affect their academic achievement" is more concrete and concise as it provides a concretely defined word of mental health and its negative consequences.
Problem 2) Provide your thoughts on their problem statement. Based on their audience characteristics, do you think their problem statement will resonate with their audience? How so? Also, provide your feedback whether or not their problem statement is concrete and concise. Did their problem statement provide a definition? Did they state what consequences the problem would cause?
