After discussion he has decided to start the "typical" treatment. He is worried if he is going to be alive to see his grand-daughter graduate from college and ask if he will be alive in 5 years. To be able to answer his question you find a cohort study that was completed from 2016 to 2022 on male patients taking the same medication that you prescribed this patient with the same education and risk factors. In the study there were 5341 males enrolled with 766 dying due to their CHF in the first year. There were 50 patients that were lost to follow-up.
