Hello, I couldn't get my computer video to work correctly so I will just type out my responses. Our job as child care workers is to keep the children safe while in our care, whether that be constantly counting the kids when leaving from one room to another and always having eyes on the kids whether indoors or out. As far as helping them promote wellness at my center they have to wash their hands once they enter the classroom anytime they walk through the doors, before and after eating, after using the bathroom, and if they wipe/ blow their nose. As for the teachers we use gloves when changing kids and when dealing with food. We also disinfect the diaper changing areas, the bathrooms, and all the toys at the end of every day. We also try to teach the children how to sneeze and cough in their arms to help prevent the spread of germs.
