WordPress Documentation Homework
In Detail: Usable documentation is critical in the event that ownership or editing responsibilities switch hands, or a site is being built and handed off to a client.
I. Your completed documentation will include the following:
Table of Contents
i. Screenshots where appropriate (taken from within the WP dashboard)
ii. How to login to the dashboard
iii. How to create a post/page
iv. How to edit a post/page
v. How to insert a hyperlink into a post/page
vi. How to search for and add a plugin
vii. How to search for and install a theme other than the default
viii. How to upload content to the media library and edit an image in the library (add caption, alt tag, change display size, etc.)
ix. How to insert an image into a post/page
II. There is no length requirement for the document, just as long as it covers all the topics above in enough detail for a beginner to understand and perform the editing.
III. Include page numbers in the document (these will be referenced in the table of contents).
IV. Upload your file in either Word or PDF format to the dropbox on Canvas when finished.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
