Problem
A mother notes that her 18-month-old's foot is "curved," and the curving has worsened during the last 6 months since the toddler began walking. Physical examination reveals a normal right foot and a convex left foot. The defect can be straightened by applying lateral pressure to the anterior foot. Grandma told the mother that placing the child's shoes on the wrong foot would fix the problem. How to respond? What management to initiate?
