Analyzing My Response to an Interview Question about Strengths and Weaknesses
As an interviewee, I should honestly answer the questions about strengths and weaknesses while showing my worth as the most suitable candidate for the job. Regarding the weaknesses question, I must demonstrate that I am self-aware and eager to improve on my identified areas of weakness. For example, when asked about my weaknesses, I can say, 'I can be a perfectionist sometimes' At the same time, I can add that I typically take longer than necessary on tasks to ensure my work is flawless. To convince the panelists, I must utilize lexical terms that align with the job requirements (Amutan Krishnan et al., 2020). While this statement about one of my weaknesses may sound negative, it can also be interpreted as a strength, especially in quality-centered organizations. To make up for this shortcoming, I can assure the interviewers that I am actively trying to prioritize my work and better manage my time. By admitting my faults and exhibiting a dedication to self-improvement. I convey that I am conscious of them and am trying to better myself. As a proactive and self-aware person, this shows the interviewers that I am the most desirable candidate for the job.
At the same time, I need to respond to the question about my strength tactically. When asked about my most vital attributes. For instance, I oversaw a team in my prior position, and my colleagues often complimented me on my brief and straightforward communication approach. In addition, I can explain to the interviewers how my excellent communication abilities have helped me to interact well with people and get good results at work.
