Strategic plan is to develop a nurse residency program. Goals and objectives are below.

I need help formulating plans to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders during strategic planning and keeping the stakeholders engaged and motivated.

Internal stakeholders- nurse executives, nurse educators, nurse leaders, human resources, and the nurse externs External stakeholders- nursing schools, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies

Goal 1: Increase new graduate nurse retention rate and reduce first-year turnover.

Objective 1.1- Hire an RN educator to develop and monitor competency-based curriculum for nurse residents. 

Objective 1.2- Open a dedicated nurse training unit for new nurse hires to work closely with a preceptor over a 5-week training period.

Goal 2: Increase recruitment of new graduate nurses to decrease contract labor use

Objective 2.1- Offer sign-on bonuses for two-year commitment to attract new graduate nurses to the residency program

Objective 2.2- Hire a dedicated coordinator for the nurse residency program to recruit nursing students and new nurse graduates
