Having high overall Expanded Emotional Quotent (EEQ) is the key to being a more effective leader as well as the key to being more happy in life. As we also discussed, EEQ has two distinct components; the precursors to EEQ and the actual practice of Situational Leadership. Much of Chapter is about the precursors including emotional control, self-confidence, optimism, and integrity (to name of few of the most important...please see the Class Framework). Why do you think that it is essential that you first develop these precursors before you really will be able to actually practice formal Situational Leadership? Which of the above precursors are likely to be the most challenging for you?
