How the themes explored in the works

Assignment task:

This is what the assignment is asking for and a story that can be used is "I, Too" by Langston Hughes or "The Second Coming" by W.B. Yeats.

In a forum post that has 400 words compare and contrast one short story and one or two poems that you have read this semester.  Your comparison and contrast should include a discussion of how each primary source has characteristics of Modernism and/or the Harlem Renaissance.

After you have made your comparisons, write another paragraph of 100-200 words, exploring how the themes explored in the works you have chosen relate to our contemporary world.  For example, if I were writing this post, I would write about how W.B. Yeats' poem "The Second Coming" could be talking about our experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic.  If you can, attach a picture or meme that illustrates your ideas (if you can't figure out the technology of it, don't worry about this part).

Use specific quotations from primary sources to illustrate your observations.  Provide an internal citations for every quote.
