Assignment task: FYI ... It is critical to be able to understand and apply the economic analysis of law (law and economics) to various issues of law and policy and critique the law and economics approach from a distinctly evangelical Christian worldview. The Posner text provides the law and economics approach, and the Chrisman text and assigned articles provide the Christian worldview approach.
Further, it is critical that people seeking doctoral-level degrees be familiar with and able to interact with scholarly literature and thought in areas of concern. These article reviews give you the opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of these two approaches to issues of law and policy and inexact with scholarly literature in the area.
Instructions:
For each article review, you will:
(1) Choose an excellent scholarly article written from the law and economics perspective published in the last 5 years addressing a topic of law and policy covered in the course;
(I) describing the article including:
(a) the topic or issue the article is addressing,
(b) how the law and economics perspective is used and applied in that article to analyze the topic or issue being addressed,
(c) any conclusions drawn or recommendations made in the article, and (d) any other information you deem important to understanding the article; and
(II) Critiquing and assessing the article's analysis, conclusions, and/or recommendations from the perspective of the Christian worldview.
