Assignment: Health Care Systems And Diversity
The objective of Essay 1 is to analyze how Health Care Systems (HCS) work in two different countries or regions and whether these differences are amplified by the diversity of people in these areas.
If you are an international student or a permanent resident or the United States, you will analyze how the HCS in your country of origin compares to the HCS in the US. (Country chosen:Bolivia)
• Compare and contrast the HCS in your country of origin with the HCS in the US. What aspects of these two HCS are similar and what aspects are different?
• Evaluate how the diversity in each country affects the interactions of people with the HCS in each one of the two countries. Do you think the experience of people from diverse backgrounds interacting with the HCS in each country is different based on their background?
• Determine what areas of the HCS work well in each country and what areas of the HCS do not satisfy the needs of the population. Are these areas the same in both countries or are they different?
• Propose improvements to the HCS areas that currently do not satisfy the needs of the population in each country. Could a solution suggested for improving the HCS in one country be implemented and work well in the other country? Could the diversity of population in the two countries affect the implementation of the proposed solutions?
