How the diagnostic criteria relate to treatment decisions

Assignment Task: Based on Reactive Attachment Disorder and have at least 5 references from scholarly sources addressing the following:

A general description of the symptoms and life situation of someone who has this disorder. This should include a description of the symptoms, the person's behaviors, lifestyle, and struggles related to the mental illness (relationship problems, trouble maintaining a job, etc.).

Issues related to the validity of the diagnosis or current criteria. This may include any controversies, issues with comorbidity, lack of clear criteria, cultural considerations, validity issues with specific populations, etc.

Information needed to make an accurate diagnosis. How can this information be gathered (what tools)? What information is most critical (may relate to differential diagnosis)?

A discussion of possible treatment methods and how the diagnostic criteria relate to treatment decisions (in other words how does the diagnosis direct treatment?). Although treatment is important it should not be the main focus of the paper. You need to relate the treatment to the diagnosis. Remember one of the purposes of the DSM is to guide practice so explain how the diagnosis is guiding (or not) the standard treatments for this mental illness.
