Problem: Corporate Social Responsibility
Length: 3000 words.
We have examined how the concept of CSR has changed over the past 20 years from philanthropy to shared value/strategic CSR. We have also considered the perspective of scholars and practitioners that are critical of the concept of shared value. Evaluate arguments in favor of the business case for CSR as well as arguments that are skeptical of CSR. Consider if CSR is different in traditional manufacturing (i.e., garments, computer electronics) and big tech (i.e., Facebook, Uber, Google)?
