Your reply Media attention, specifically television is a huge source of information in politics. The electorate can easily and almost instantly spread their message via television to the public. However, this can be dangerous and easily manipulated. Many media outlets and networks for television have bias and can sway viewers into their bias with the productions. Things like sound bites, opinionated views and forms of not providing the full scope of coverage can lead viewers into misinformed information. It is important that the average citizen be aware of these bias networks and outlets and compare and contrast the media to unbiased or the opposing bias source to understand the truth of it. Another way is to participate in rallying in person or be sure to watch the live coverage before the media has a chance to pick out the highlights to put in their coverage. Candidates can also choose to conduct specific interviews with bias networks to convey a clear message or, as we have seen in more recent elections, conduct their own post via social media. In 2008, Barack Obama's campaign controlled an entire channel on DirecTV in which is repeatedly played a speech given by the president in which he spoke about his policies. The was a form of direct, unaltered sound bites and speech on an unbiased outlet.
