Select a few prominent chroniclers of King Philip's War (examples: Rowlandson, Mather, Wheeler, Hubbard) and explain and describe how their writings and expressions served to restablish and reclaim an English identity distinct and opposed to an Indian identity. For each chronicler selected, evaluate how successful their writing was in maintaining this distinct English/Indian divide.
