Scenario: "Carol wants you to work with the new trainees to collect data on what the service is doing well and what it could improve on for Element 4.2.1 Professional collaboration | Management, educators and staff work with mutual respect and collaboratively, and challenge and learn from each other, recognising each other's strengths and skills."
How would the student educator like the trainees to interact with educators, children, families and the local community to review current practice before the assessment and rating visit? Imagine the points you'd like to explain to your new team members. Keep it simple and easy to understand.
Describe the following aspects of continuous improvement processes:
a) The process of gathering evidence of best practice and areas in need of improvement (through self-assessment) to inform a QIP. Consider the types of tools you would use to gather information (e.g., surveys, etc.)
b) How stakeholder engagement occurs to gather evidence? Include how you might engage with educators, children, families and the local community at different stages i.e., these may include enrolment, self-assessment, QIP, regular practice and routines, after an assessment and rating visit.
