Founding Fathers George Washington, Thomas Jefferson along with former Presidents Andrew Jackson and James Polk were extraordinary men with exceptional talents and abilities. Their leadership, sacrifices and contributions helped to shape this great nation. But these individuals also had a very dark side as studied in class. In reflecting on history, should we excuse their many flaws and simply reflect on their contributions or should we view their lives in its entirety?
