Cite the two sections, and explain what each section would mean for an applicant who is seeking to appeal a decision, get out of detention, be found admissible to Canada, etc. - make sure to specify which type of proceeding the applicant is going through so that you can accurately describe how the section of the law will impact the applicant.
For example, if an appellant is seeking to appeal the decision to refuse a permanent resident visa to the family member they have sponsored under the Family Class, which section(s) of IRPA/IRPR might be appropriate?
