Problem:
Racism can be dated back to the start of the Colonists where the thoughts surrounding people of color were detrimental to the wellbeing and treatment of individuals. The Colonist's central aim was Afro-pessimism. "Afro-pessimism theorizes that Black people exist in a structurally antagonistic relationship with humanity. The Black cannot be human and is not simply an "other," but is other than human"(Dancy et al., 2018, pg.180). The history of education, specifically college, can also be dated back to the time of the Colonial state.
