After completing the Unit 1 Reading, think about how qualitative research could be used in your field of interest. What types of answers could this approach provide that cannot be answered with quantitative inquiry? What was it about the question that requires the use of qualitative research?
If you are having a difficult time thinking of how qualitative research could shed light on a topic in your field in ways that quantitative data cannot, feel free (actually encouraged) to search the Purdue Global library for an instance in which qualitative research was used in an actual application, and why the researchers pursued quantitative methods in order to get the answers they sought.
