Using several statistics, stories, and situations presented in the film or case study as supporting evidence, discuss and analyze how the film or case study illustrates:
a) How power, privilege, and inequity are or have been perpetuated (i.e., by continuing discrimination and inequalities),
b) How power, privilege, and inequity are or have been challenged (i.e., by attempting to change discrimination and inequalities),
c) Suggestions for creating social systems based on respect and justice for all (even if that is simply to start by promoting awareness that change needs to be made). Race: The Power of an Illusion, you could discuss how the political meaning of race has changed over time and how systemic practices such as redlining have created and maintained segregation and unequal access to resources and opportunities.
