On pages seven and eight Two Trains Running, Wolf comments on the riches Prophet Samuel gained during his career. He states, "Prophet Samuel got a lot of money. He right up there with West. He be cheating and fooling people the people all these years...All them jewels and things he had. That big old white Cadillac. Seven or eight women. He was living a nice life." In these statements, Wolf is critical of the nice things Prophet Samuel had as a preacher. How do his statements compare to how people talk about preachers and their profits today? Do you think people are overly critical of the monetary status of pastors? Why or why not?
